So the man wanted a hat, a cool hat to keep him warm! He wanted something white, with a red pattern. Being a programmer and a bit of a nerd, Tomas likes anything pixelated. He also loves glasses (!?). Putting it all together an idea emerged. I would make him a double-knitted hat with a pattern of a pair of pixel glasses.
Inspiration:

"Nerd" glasses

Pixel glasses
With these two in mind, I fiddled about in photoshop for a while, pixelating the “Nerd Glasses” with a mosaic filter. And from there I drew a sketch. I could have just used the pixel-pattern from the “pixel glasses”, but I wanted to make it my own.
First draft and test knitting:
Pattern
Here is a PDF of the Pixel glasses pattern. The pattern has three parts: a left temple arm, a right temple arm and a middle portion.
CO: 192 stiches (Longtail cast-on)
Pattern: 136 stiches (56 sts without)
Guage: 32 sts/10 cm

Yarn: 2 x 50 g Arwetta Sock yarn (80% merino wool / 20% nylon) (coloarway 101, 138)

All there is left now, is to finish the swatch and wait for the yarn for the project to arive. :)
